| Ratings Plugin - now shipping |
|
The ratings plugin has finally been released. It is released into the public domain, but with optional licence to restrict my (discrete) request for support on the plugin entry page.
A new public domain root - eduTools - will be the medium for this and other educational themed plugins. Download eduTools here. Its about 36k and in stuffit format, windows users can get the free stuffit expander from the "Aladdin Systems, Inc" web pages.
Documentation for the ratings plugin is minimal at the moment, volunteers are sought.

| No news |
|
I'm not an enthusiastic blogger at the best of times. But 3 months without a post is a record even for me, so perhaps a modicum of explanation is due. I've been
- Ill - my left leg has had varying degrees of cramp now for 10 weeks ranging from crippling agaony to a mild irritant (todays state).
- Doing paid work - a pleasant novelty, its even Frontier related.
- Installing Frontier 9 on lots of servers (love that administration website) - once the bug fixes were carried over from Frontier 8 and new bugs were found and squashed. I'll document my current list of suggested fixes to Userland roots as soon as I can find some spare moments.
- Ongoing projects - lots of incremental changes to the bayly.root software. I will another news item to summarise.
- Finishing the Ratings plugin - it has passed beta test and evaluation by the people who commissioned it
- writing addedValues - my rewrite of the metadata plugin was going well - I was well and truly "in the zone" - until the leg cramps ruined my concentration in November. I've recently resumed work and hope to get to beta stage soon.
Not much time for blogging in my life.
