Bug Report 000579

Reported : 17:19; 30Apr2007 (changed 10:23; 01May2007)
Reported By : Zappatini, Gilberto
Status : Rejected ( Update)
Software Item : addedValues Plugin 10.0.4 Mac OS X
Abstract : opening or changing a form causes an error-message: Can't find a sub-table named "Reports"
What I did : In www.maenner.ch when choosing a form to edit it (e.g. frmMembMitglied) or «set layout» or choosing a variable
What I Expected : To see the page to see the result or to open the page to make changes on the form.
What Happened : instead of showing the result i get the error-message: Sorry! There was an error: Can't find a sub-table named "Reports".

The error was detected by Frontier 9.7b10 in mainResponder.respond. Webmaster: webmaster@udena.ch. Time: Mon, 30 Apr 2007 14:58:02 GMT.

When I succeed to edit the form, I recognize, that changes are done.

Impact : Showstopper
Supporting Notes :
Supporting Files :
Developer : Gilberto I cannot fix this until I reproduce the conditions that caused it. What did you do to initiate this error ?

Later.

Also the error you describe doe snto occur when I set layout. I have nothing to work on here .

May 1 2007

well I see the error on this second form you name; but that does not tell me what you did to cause this situation. Since there are thousands of forms made sucesssfully with addedValues, I have to ask what it is that you have done differently? Are there earlier errors you failed to mention?

When I set debug in preferences, and click on the newly viisbel regenerate button on the forms page (for frmMember) I see errors like

Error rendering messages#subject of frmMember Can‚t find a sub-table named „frmMember‰. - deleted from dictionary.

I can now edit the form; but several variables that were used in the form are no longer on the chosen list in the right. So what did you do and what happened previously?

2007.05.06 I don't have more details to reconstruct the steps. I'm sorry. The remaining question to this problem is for me: Do you have possiblities to delete this forms I mentioned below?

Due to your advise I try to solve the problem defining variables directly as members. There are two at the moment: dNameMBRSt and dEmailEignerMBRSt.
I made a form frmMbrsSignup integrated in page http://www.maenner.ch/membersignup/ and a form frmMbrsPrefs integrated in page http://www.maenner.ch/memberprefs/. Both don't have a button "Send" but a button "Test[[formid]]. I can't send them away and see, if it works.
Why I get this button? I have never seen before.

If I compare this situation with maennerzeitung or AECC I can't see differences, which explain this different way.

Gilberto, this does little to help me reproduce your problem, I'm sorry. I need a step by step description, otherwise you are asking me to spend lots of time solving a problem I cannot see.

I do wonder why you you are making a complicated message form when you are trying to update a member record. Why not just make a MEMBER form and udpate the fields directly?

2007.05.04 I try to reconstruct what I did in this forms. I created them by cloning from another form. Parts of the code I copied from www.maennerzeitung.ch. But I don't know no more the sequence. I worked together with Tom (internet-team) and wi tried to find a way to make an own signup-process.

In all this forms there are the following elements plus variables:
subject hidden ("Neue Eingabe")
body hiddenpagemacrocall (" a report-name, I can't remember " )
storytype hidden (" a form-name ")

I can't remember the name of the form. When I regenerate the form "frmMember", I get the message: «Error rendering messages#subject of frmMember Can‚t find a sub-table named „frmMember‰. - deleted from dictionary.» My interpretation: In one way the form is deleted but in another way it still exists. It's like the cat biting his own tail.

frmMembEingabeDe: I can open the form to edit. There are a lot of informations in the developer details. I can't interprete them - the varialbe dNameMEMBt seems to be the problem.
The hidden elements are ok. Report and form exists. But I can't change the layout. I get the error-message «Sorry! There was an error: Can't find a sub-table named "Reports". The error was detected by Frontier 9.7b10 in mainResponder.respond. Webmaster: webmaster@udena.ch. Time: Fri, 04 May 2007 08:02:11 GMT.»
With this form I should go on to build a new login. but before I don't know, why I have this errors, it's impossible.

Do you have possibility to delete this forms?
- frmMembEingabeDe
- frmMember
- frmMembersignup
- frmMembMitglied

To test edit the form or delete the form you can take the form: "frmMember".
E.g. when I try to edit "frmMember" i get the error-message: Sorry! There was an error: Can't find a sub-table named "frmMember".
The error was detected by Frontier 9.7b10 in mainResponder.respond. Webmaster: webmaster@udena.ch. Time: Mon, 30 Apr 2007 20:08:26 GMT.

the forms frmFactEingabeDe or frmFactEingabeFr, frmPersEingabeFr, frmPersEingabeFr work without problem.
