Import Functions

Its is often useful to model a new website upon an existing one. Themes address this need with respect to look and feel. Import functions take up where themes leave off by allowing copying of stories, pictures, and other structures from other Manila websites.

To import the following conditions must be satisfied - the server hosting the source website must have enabled RPC - the source website must have the manilafixer plugin installed (version 1.8x or better) - you must be a managing editor of the destination site - you must have managing editor access to the source site

This is what you see when you choose import functions from the manilaFixer plugin menu?

Each popup menu selection, except Navigation, returns a form with a picklist of the chosen objects from the other site. For security reason, you will be prompted to re-enter the password to the Managing Editor username of the source site.
