MLAC Managing Editor Interface

The Managing Editor defines cohorts and enables and disables the controls which can be added to the Manila forms that build pages to create or edit stories, pictures, newsitems or messages.

The global configuration panel contains

• Accesscontrol master switch - enables or disables accesscontrol
• Cohorts from site structure checked before (and may override) message cohorts. - all messages access are checked by looking for "Path Attributes" called 'Mlac' and 'romlac' in the site structure
• Enter all new/changed messages in Moderators cohort - check this box to turn a Manila DG into a moderated Discussion group
• Add cohort access controls to new/changed message forms -
• Add control for read only cohorts to new/changed message forms -
• Allow members to set their default new messages cohort list - expands the controls in the new/changed message forms
• Add time access controls to new/changed message forms -
• Display time in 24 hour format - determines format of tiem control on ETP pages
• Track when members read controlled messages - check this box to have manilaFixer track all controlled accesses to messages. Use the messageViewers Macro to display these hits
