commentIt Terms and Conditions
Introduction
The software shipped in bayly.root and documented on this website is freely available for download. I did this as brand building exercise, and in the hope that it would lead to paid work. For these reasons my Manila™ plugins generally display a Request for Support on their home pages. Because it has been requested, I have provided a way to hide this advertisement, but only on payment of a fee for each affected website on a monthly basis. The fees are small, but entirely optional, if you don't want to pay them you are not permitted to conceal the advertisement, and in any case you must retain my copyright notice, but there are no other restrictions. In short, I am offering a licence to remove my advertisement from your copy of the plugin.

The Mechanism
To enable accurate invoicing, a licenced copy of CommentIt will send emails to Jobsuf Ltd, at the email address sales@baylys.com, whenever a Manila™ website enables or disables its use of the CommentIt plugin. The email will be copied to a second email address, if provided by the Licencee. The email contains a timestamp, the name of the licenced organisation, the name and version of the software, a unique identifier of the website and the url of the home page of the website. These emails are formatted to be machine readable.
Terms and Conditions
This agreement constitutes a licence to conceal the advertisement on the Home page of the CommentIt Manila™ plugin, specifically a request to "Support a Frontier Developer" or its equivalent in other languages. This is emphatically NOT a contract about software, all the contents of bayly.root are shipped as is, with no warranty whatsoever.Jobsurf Ltd offers a one year term licence permitting you to
- Use only the defined interface in the controlpanel addin, called CommentIt, to control the concealment mechanism.
- Use the decline button in the same controlpanel addin to terminate this agreement.
- The copyright notice in the software will be preserved at all times.
- You will not obstruct or delay the email reports that the CommentIt software sends whenever
- you click the accept button on the controlpanel addin and submit the form to signify acceptance.
- you terminate the agreement using the Decline button
- you enable the CommentIt plugin in a Manila™ website
- you disable the CommentIt plugin in a Manila™ website
- You will pay a fee for each Manila™ website which concealed the advertisement for the whole or part of any calendar month. The schedule of fees is as set out below, or as otherwise mutually agreed in writing.
