Me, a Threat?
To: Dave Winer <dave@userland.com> From: "David A. Bayly" <dbayly@udena.ch> Subject: Re: Re Winerlog Cc: Bcc: Eveline Frei <efrei@udena.ch> X-Attachments:Threaten you? You tell me I have no integrity and challenged me to decloak and I tell you the literal, exact truth and that threatens you? You silly sod, how can I possibly threaten you, I'm half a world away from you physically, you are the one with the high visibility web site. You're a millionaire, I'm broke because I bet on being a Frontier developer and that has not, to put it mildly, worked out well. As far as working with Userland, any lack of success is not for want of trying on my part. If you really look back through the archives; you will see I started politely posting bugs reports as they came up. It was the lack of response that turned me to sarcasm and irony, as it has many other Frontier developers. Most of those have departed for greener pastures, or perhaps you haven't noticed. I don't have any problems working with a lot of other developers, whereas you have a history of driving developers away. What do you call someone who feels threatened when it isn't appropriate? Paranoid? If I'm pushed I push back, it's the only way to avoid being overrun by bullies. You are acting like the worst kind of bully and you got your facts wrong. How about backing down gracefully for once and apologising? Or, if you can't manage that, go pick on someone your own size. You picked a fight, don't be surprised if I don't just cave in. So show me a url or back down. Very typical. You threaten me all the time. If you wanted to get some work done, you'd do it differently. Dave
